Calgary Vision Event 2015 Program Goals
The primary goal of this program is to raise awareness of the concepts and principles behind vision rehab and extended vision assessment. ‘Vision Therapy’ has come a long way, and this course adds to your skills and understanding … Each speaker will in turn consider their own area of particular interest and specialty, and then each also comment on myopia in particular: its impact and means of abatement.
We, the Hosts of CVE2015 hope to build bridges between rehabilitation professions, and open eyes to the very serious need to pay attention in particular to children’s vision and vision rehabilitation in the care of brain injury.
CVE2015 is focused on clinical science, and practice based on science- and research-based practices. We are pleased to have world-leading experts in their fields join us to share their experience and best practice advice from advanced clinical optics, to the specifics of care of brain injury patients, to management of learning and reading disabilities. It all starts with our own make-up as humans, and so the program will begin with a review of core visual neurology principles.
We look forward to seeing you at CVE2015 this September 19th and 20th, 2015.
Drs. Charles Boulet and Debbie Luk
